Academic Biography

As a Lecturer in Civil and Construction Engineering, Sinthuja teaches a variety of modules including ‘Geotechnics and Surveying’ and ‘Civil Engineering Construction Technology’.

Sinthuja has a total of twelve years of post-graduation experience in research, consultancy and lectureship, since graduating from a four years MEng (Hons) level degree in Geo (Earth) Resources Engineering. She obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) from University of Southampton in summer 2014. She is a graduate member of Institution of Civil Engineer (GMICE) and working towards chartership.

Her research interests include railway track bed and offshore wind turbine foundation in the context of geotechnical engineering. She has an expertise in geotechnical laboratory-based experiments.
