Academic Biography

Having qualified as a registered dietitian in 2016 I have gained experience within specialist weight management and hospital catering before specialising in eating disorders where I maintain a clinical role alongside an academic career.

Research interests include nutritional strategies within mental health, professional confidence and competence in supporting patients with mental health and learning disability diagnoses and, practice-based learning innovations in healthcare.

I hold an external position as the Chair of the British Dietetic Association Mental Health Specialist Group and undertake consultancy work both for and on behalf of the British Dietetic Association.
