Personal profile

Academic Biography

I am a Clinical Trials Associate at The Great North Children’s Hospital, RVI and a Doctorate in Public Health candidate. I have a Master’s degree in Global Health and Management from the University of Aberdeen, a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, and a Diploma in Nursing.

I am actively involved in the design, delivery, and operational management of the NIHR portfolio and commercially sponsored clinical trials and observational studies across general paediatrics. This includes type 1 diabetes, muscular dystrophy, nephrology, bone marrow transplant, cardiology, and immunology.

My doctoral research focuses on health equity and lifestyle and self-management interventions in multiple long-term conditions. I am specialised in mixed‑methods research and systematic reviews, and I have contributed to research within the WHO Collaborating Centre networks.

Alongside his academic professional work, I lead the FGM Education Project Team, developing trauma-informed, culturally competent training resources for healthcare professionals.

I am committed to advancing equitable healthcare systems, strengthening community-centred public health practice, and translating research into meaningful improvements for underserved populations.
