Academic career following 20 years clinical practice in the NHS, Senior Sister  Intensive Care, Nurse Practioner, Cardiac Surgery and Clinical Matron, Cardiothoracic Services.

Academic roles inculde Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, Course Lead Adult Nursing, and Step 2 & 3 Critical Care Competency lead progressing to Principal Lecturer (Staffing and Resources). 

Current Role, Deputy Head of Department, Nursing, Midwifery and Parmedic Practice, School of Health and Life Sciences. Pathway Lead Advanced Critical Care Practitoner as part of Advanced Care Practitioner course.

Interested in advanced nursing practice and patient saftey, demonstrating leadership and creating a supportive environment to  empower colleagues to innovate and lead.
