Thadshajini is a Lecturer in Civil Engineering, who specialises in the field of Structural Engineering. Module tutor for Structural Analysis and Design, Building Technology and Sustainability.

Thadshajini graduated with a Degree of BSc. Civil and Environmental Engineering with First Class Honours from Ruhuna University, Sri Lanka, followed by a Ph.D. on 3D Concrete Printing technology for enhanced structural, fire and energy performance at Northumbria University, UK. After completing her Ph.D., Thadshajini has joined the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies at Teesside University as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering in May 2022.

Thadshajini has served as several academic roles and research related roles at Northumbria University. Her research interests include 3D printed concrete structures: structural, fire, energy, acoustic and sustainability performances, advanced computer modelling, cold-formed steel structures, modular building systems, fire safety of buildings and sustainability. Thadshajini has a growing international publication record, and she has published more than 15 research papers for journals.
