Thomas is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour.
With substantial senior and middle management experience in Leadership, Personnel, Human Resource Management (HRM) and Human Resource Development and Learning and Development (HRD/LD) roles, Thomas knows about the pressures of working in the real world of business.
Thomas is interested in research into organisational behaviour, leadership, strategic human resource management and organisational change. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

PhD and Research Opportunities
Thomas is completing PhD research into the relationship between organisational contexts and organisational change in the chemical industry in North East England. The study took place within three case study chemical companies in North East England, who were subsidiaries of separate international organisations.
External Roles and Professional Activities
Thomas has previously appeared on BBC Radio Tees as an expert in HRM and as a member of the People’s Panel. He is a Committee member of the Tees Valley Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and has the additional role of the Membership and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Advisor for the CIPD Branch.

Thomas is very keen to work with organisations in the areas of leadership, strategic HRM, HRD/LD, organisational behaviour and organisational change.
