Academic Biography
Trevor Langford is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Teesside University and is currently studying for a PgCLTHE qualification.
He commenced his work in the School of Health and Life Sciences in February 2021 having gained a extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with both athletic and non athletic populations. Trevor has worked with elite performers from different sports including football, gymnastics and triathlon.
Trevor teaches on the physiotherapy BSc and MSc pre-registration courses but is also a module leader for the Malaysian course with UiTM in which he teaches online on a weekly basis. Trevor is also the admissions tutor for the BSc and MSc pre-registration physiotherapy courses. In addition to these roles Trevor has also been involved in supervising dissertation students.
Trevor has presented his research at the BASES international conference at Bath University and at a Randomised controlled Trial conference at York University.
Trevor is a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (PH100981).
External Roles and Professional Activities
Trevor worked as a sports therapist for Middlesbrough football club with the academy and senior teams from 2008-2012.
Trevor has also contributed over 50 articles since 2010 for sports injury bulletin relating to current topics associated with physiotherapy.
He also works part time as a physiotherapist in a private practice in Durham whereby he has worked for 10 years gaining a vast amount of experience.
