Academic Biography
Dr. Usman Adeel is currently an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Teesside University. He holds a Ph.D. in Computing from Imperial College, London with the thesis titled "Socio-economic aware data forwarding in mobile sensing networks and systems".
Before joining Teesside University, Dr. Usman Adeel worked at Intel Labs Europe as a Research Scientist for Intel Collaborative Research Institute (ICRI) for sustainable connected cities. He also worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College London.
Summary of Research Interests
His research interests are focused on Distributed Sensing Systems including Mobile Sensing, CrowdSourcing, Participatory Sensing, Low Power Wide Area Networks and their applications for Internet of Things, Cyber-physical Systems and Smart Cities.
