I started working as an academic at Teessie Uiversity in 2018 after leaving my role as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse in clinical practice. I am one of the Senior Lecturers in Adult Nursing.
During my time here I have taught on both pre and post registartion nursing courses and modules, i have carried out the role of module leader for a Trainee Nursing Assocaite module and i am now currently developing my skills in the role of field leader to a pre registartion adult nursing cohort.
I am a personal tutor for both pre and post registartion students.
Last year I succesfully completed my PGCLTHE and became a Fellow of Advanced HE.
Learning and Teaching Interests and Activities
I enjoy teaching both pre and post registration students, i enjoy specifically teaching around management of Diabetes and also clinical skills modules for pre registration students.
I also find supporting students in clinical practice particularly rewarding.
