Vishak is a PhD student at the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies. His research focuses on digital twins and cyber-physical energy systems optimisation. He holds an MSc in Civil and Structural Engineering with Distinction and a First Class BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Teesside University. Having a particular research interest for digital engineering, he has been involved in several research projects, including the Grand Challenge Smart City Sensing Project and the Calibration of Environmental Monitoring Sensors Project.

His research interests include integration of technologies in engineering: Augmented Reality (AR), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Sensors, Digital Twin, Cyber-Physical Energy Systems (CPES), Building Simulation and 3D Printing.

Vishak is currently a graduate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and a member of the ICE Teesside Branch Committee.
