Academic Biography

Wasim Ahmad joined Teesside University International Business School in January 2023. He earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from Business School, University of International Business and Economics, and a PostDoc from Florida State University. He also holds Master in Management (Marketing) and an MBA, both from COMSATS University Islamabad. 

Before joining Teesside University International Business School (TUIBS), Teesside University, he worked at Monash University, Florida State University, and Fujian University of Techynology, where he undertakes research, taught modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as led modules.

Wasim is specialized in International Marketing and Brand Management. He has taught modules including International Marketing, Services Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and Strategic Brand Management. Wasim has experience in developing curriculum.

He undertakes research in various marketing topics including consumers’ negative emotions, cross-cultural consumer behavior, and marketing ethics. His research works have appeared in famous outlets such as the Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, Annals of Tourism Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, among others. He is also an adhoc reviewer for journals like Journal of Business Research, Journal of Knowledge Management, among others.
