Academic Biography
Wennie completed her PhD and Bachelor (BEng with First Class Honours) degrees in Chemical Engineering under full scholarships at Monash University Malaysia. During her time at the university, she contributed in teaching subjects such as process design, material and energy balances, process systems analysis and final year research projects.
Wennie's PhD research focused on the integrated use of coagulation and heterogeneous photocatalysis in treatment of industrial wastewater. She was a consecutive two-time recipient of the Higher Degree Research Publication Award from the university for her published research. She has also presented her research work at WCCE9: 9th World Congress of Chemical Engineering in Seoul and 19th Regional Symposium of Chemical Engineering in Bali.
She is now an associate member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and has joined the Chemical Engineering department at Teesside University.
