Academic Biography

Yvonne is the Principal Lecturer Staffing and Resources within the Business School at Teesside University, where she oversees and manages the staffing, resourcing, planning and work loading requirements of the Finance, Performance and Marketing department.

Prior to her academic career, Yvonne gained nearly 20 years’ experience in commerce, practice and industry in the areas of financial/management reporting, auditing, project management and leadership at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Commerzbank London and RSM UK.

She is a qualified chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Yvonne’s research interests encompass practice-relevant issues within the Financial Accounting & Reporting, Audit and Assurance and Corporate Governance landscape and is currently studying towards a PhD in Accounting at Durham University.

Externally, Yvonne is a panel examination member on the professional qualification board and committee member of the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants - Teesside branch.
