Project Details

Description

The aim of this project is to develop, design and synthesise nano materials for electrochemical gas sensor applications. I address four general objectives: a) nanoporous material design; b) synthesis and characterisation of selected nano materials using experimental techniques; c) integration of nano materials in the designed electrochemical devices and assessing their performance in air quality applications; and d) designing the prototype gas sensor device for field performance.

Layman's description

The detection of toxic gases for air quality monitoring is extremely important to both developed and developing countries. This project is focused on developing new application of novel nano porous materials in VOCs and toxic gases sensing.
