The shift to Electric Vehicles (EVs) supports the country's commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and decrease reliance on fossil fuels. Charging infrastructure is crucial to accelerating EV adoption. This project aims to develop innovative EV charging solution to aid faster transition to Net-Zero. By combining
technical advancements with educational initiatives, the project intends to transform the landscape of EV charging and promote sustainable transportation.
Programme of Activities:
1. Smart and Scalable EV Charger Development: Designing a faster and smarter EV charger, compatible
with existing AC charges, and integrating AI-driven features for remote monitoring, scheduling, and payments,
thus enhancing user convenience, and encouraging EV adoption.
2. Research-Backed Curriculum Creation: Creating an educational curriculum that offers short courses, training programmes, and online seminars on EV battery charging to equip engineers with essential skills and knowledge for the growing EV industry.
3. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Bringing together academics and industry experts from UK and India to collaborate on technical innovations and educational initiatives, ensuring a holistic approach to tackling EV
charging challenges.
