Salinity, Climate Change and Health networking event: building an interdisciplinary network to study the holistic impacts of salinity intrusion into freshwater sources in coastal Bangladesh
Layman's description
Climate change and human activities are causing increasing levels of salt in drinking water, as well as water for washing and farming. This has effects on a range of aspects of human life, including health, livelihoods and migration, all of which are interlinked. This networking grant seeks to bring together researchers from all areas and disciplines, from science to arts, to create a research group that is well-equipped to design effective projects to respond to and reduce these negative effects.
