Project Details
Description
Cyber-Physical Design (CPD) is the process by which traditional mechanical design is blended with computation. This requires new approaches to design; connecting areas from microelectronics, mechatronics, control, cyber-security and Internet computing.
Siemens Digital Industries is an innovation and technology leader in industrial automation and digitalization. This VP appointment will develop new teaching approaches to connect traditional mechanical design teaching to include a broader understanding of cyber interactions and how to “design-in” digital value. This project will be multi-disciplinary impacting the range of traditional engineering course delivery. The project reach and impact is extended through Teesside's membership of Siemens Connected Curriculum.
