Project Details
Description
The project aims to assess the potential of carbonated materials for permanent CO2 storage, focusing on the Tees Valley Industrial Cluster. It encompasses a comprehensive evaluation of carbonate content through various analytical techniques, including Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis, calcimetry, and Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDX). These methods will provide insights into the material's surface area, particle size distribution, chemical composition, and calcium carbonate content, crucial for understanding their capacity to sequester CO2 permanently.
