Project Details
Description
HackEscape is game to playfully teach user experience and awareness, to improve institutional cybersecurity. It's based on academic research into how to make effective games for learning and behaviour change, considering paratextual content, alignment of game mechanics with story, subtle distancing from the real world to help absorb the learning content, and autonomy-supportive design.
Layman's description
Current cybersecurity awareness games are not based on empirical research into how games support learning and behaviour change, so are ineffective. HackEscape will change all that.
Key findings
There's a significant market for the game, as well as some investor interest.
