Project: Research

Project Details

Description

This project addresses the unmet needs of children and young people with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), particularly those with neurodivergent profiles. Led by Teesside University in collaboration with Eating Distress North East, Triple A, and XR Therapeutics, the research employs a co-production model involving individuals with lived experience and healthcare professionals. Through workshops, interviews, and surveys, the team aims to identify gaps in current provision and evaluate digital interventions. The ultimate goal is to develop a digital educational tool that empowers families to self-advocate and improves outcomes across healthcare and education settings.
