Improving Mental Health Services for Young People in Gateshead: Effective Methods for Sharing Information

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Focusing on the high demand for mental health support in Northeast England, this study investigates information-sharing methods among early intervention services in Gateshead. The research team—comprising Teesside University, Youth Focus NE, Unfolding Theatre, and South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust—will map existing services and identify barriers to collaboration. Utilising online surveys and creative co-design workshops with young people and practitioners, the project will produce a framework for a digital resource. This framework aims to streamline multi-agency cooperation, reduce service duplication, and enhance the efficiency of mental health delivery for marginalised youth.
