Summary: the project evaluates the potential for a holistic approach to domestic demand-side response. It investigates whether state-of-the-art techniques in digital marketing, consumer mobile application development, big data analysis, IoT technology, behavioural science and gamification can be combined to deliver a massively scalable and repeatable approach to deliver cost-effective DSR in the UK. Teesside University’s contribution is the design and evaluation of trials of domestic demand-side response.
