Description
This project is designed to reduce reliance on petroleum-based binders in asphalt roads with a bio-based innovative alternative. National biomass waste will be valorised using hydrothermal liquefaction to produce bio-oil with tailored properties. The chemical composition and mechanical performance of bio-binder will be tested for compatibility for road applications.
