This study investigates the use of Live-Action Role-Play (LARP) as a novel tool that can be adapted for developing management skills, framed by the concept of management identity development.

Key findings

Findings show (i) the impact of LARP on enhancing managerial identity development and its wider impact on real-life identity, (ii) the need for service providers to ensure ethical guidelines, and for policymakers to regulate the offer by introducing age-limit, duration and content certification.
