Abstract

The " crimes of the powerful " constitute a relatively new analytical category in Criminology, specifically under the epistemological example of Critical Criminology.

We are talking about a wide range of crimes, which until the 1970s were not considered crimes or were not given due importance. In contrast to traditional criminology, which focuses its analysis on natural persons, crime theory of the powerful focuses on a variety of "systems of power" and entities - perpetrators.

The crimes of the powerful are recorded as crimes of the state, the private sector, but also of their alliances, the action of organized crime, as well as aspects of corruption, which in our time have a clearly symbiotic and functional relationship.
