Abstract
Carnitine acyltransferase includes carnitine palmitoyltransferase, carnitine acetyltransferase and carnitine octanoyltransferase. They are important in transportation of fatty acid for further# beta# oxidation. Recent research on characteristics of members of carnitine acyltransferase was summarized, and the function and control of carnitine acyltransferase in Candida tropicalis was also studied.
