Rationale for the review
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a significant global public health concern. Yet, there remains a gap in a review of African and Caribbean women and girls' experiences of GBV and interventions to improve their mental health, social well-being and help-seeking behaviours in the UK. This review will address the gap to inform culturally appropriate intervention for the affected population.
Review objectives
The review objectives are to synthesise existing empirical literature on African and Caribbean women and girls' experiences of gender-based violence and interventions to improve their psychosocial well-being and help-seeking behaviours in the UK. Hence the research question below:
