N2 - The performance of current Automatic Speech Recognition systems in the lecture environment is still below the level required for accurate transcription of lectures. This paper reports on the results of a study to assess the potential of the Semantic and Syntactic Transcription Analysing Tool in the production of meaningful post-lecture material with minimal investment in time and effort by academic staff.
