Abstract
This Chapter is designed as an entry-level introduction to the topic of meta-analysis, and I hope that over the course of this chapter I can introduce you to some of the key ideas involved and also help you to develop your understanding. With this in mind, if you are planning on conducting a meta-analysis and writing this up for publication, I would recommend you seek support from an experienced systematic reviewer or statistician who can assist you in meeting the necessary benchmarks for publication.
