Abstract

In 2016 The BIA (The BioIndustry Association) commissioned five Highlighting the impact that the UK BioScience industry makes on Delivering ground-breaking treatments to patients. The films Focused on five treatment areas: Type 1 diabetes, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Dementia, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Cancer. For each film, interviews were conducted with people Working in the labs of the of some the BIA members, as well as patients. The films were published on YouTube and released alongside a report – ‘Celebrating UK Bioscience – drug discovery and development’.
