Abstract

Books on Human Growth and Development come along with surprising regularity and often go over the same ground with minimal changes and little to add to challenge our previous ways of thinking. This book sets out only to look at the early part of development and does not try to offer a lifespan perspective as many recent publications have, although it is the first part of a two-part series. So, the question we need to ask is ‘does it offer anything new’?
