Abstract

During semester 1 of the current academic year two final year performing arts students from the School of Design, Culture and the Arts collaborated with two science undergraduates from the School of Science and Engineering. The purpose of the collaboration was to produce a series of workshop exercises to develop confidence in students who can become highly anxious when asked to deliver an assessed presentation in front of their peers. It is hoped the project will be up-scaled next year to benefit a large number of programmes within the School of Science and Engineering next academic year. Our student led interactive workshop will include practical exercises to help combat pre-performance nerves as well as offering some simple tips on how to survive making a presentation.
