Abstract
This chapter presents conclusions drawn from the design, development, application, and validation of the construction waste quantification workflow proposed in the previous book chapters. The research aim was to propose a framework that facilitates the built environment to quantify construction waste and select optimal material choices based on its impacts across the life cycle stages. Six objectives were defined to meet the research aim. The conclusions drawn from each objective and its role in achieving the research aim are discussed in this chapter. The theoretical and practical implications of the framework and the critical knowledge contributions the book has made to meet the digital and sustainable demands in the built environment are also underlined. Finally, the chapter concludes by discussing the current limitations and recommendations for future research agendas.
