Abstract
The appellant was sentenced to life imprisonment in March 1993 at the Central Criminal Court, having been convicted of murder following the death of the victim in a street brawl in Kingston-on-Thames. An appeal against his conviction was dismissed in December 1994. The Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) referred the case back to the Court of Appeal using its powers under the Criminal Appeal Act 1995.
