Abstract
Disney is one of the most successful and identifiable brands in the world (Knight, 2014). The Disney Corporation employs over 200,000 people worldwide and, as of May 2021, had reported sales of over $60 billion (Forbes, 2021). Since its earliest days of animated films, through to its global media empire today, Disney has become a corporate juggernaut (Mann and Budworth, 2018). Its resorts – situated in California, Florida, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong and China – represent some of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the world.
