Disruptive leadership theory is yet to get fully mellowed with delineation of necessary traits, skills, and there is no prescribed model that could serve as a guideline for future disruptive leaders. Together with enhancing knowledge and understanding, they should render their best effort to develop their own model of disruptive leadership. Through their journey along leading through the VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world, the leaders will mature their thoughts and provide more efficacy to their own disruptive leadership models. Finally, the disruptive leader of the future have to remain updated on the development and keep abreast with various new challenges and acquire relevant competencies to thrive in the VUCA business environment of the 21st Century. This developmental paper seeks the attention the periphery of literature review of disruptive leadership with VUCA environment. The aim of this paper is to explore the effectiveness of Disruptive Leadership in the volatile, uncertain, complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) business environment. We are aiming to take this paper in developing country context based on three objectives of literature review i) To critically evaluate the leadership competencies in a VUCA business environment and ii) To identify the challenges of VUCA business environment. iii) How does the impact of disruptive leadership in the VUCA business environment works.
