Epidemiology of snake bite in Bangladesh. Bangladesh

Abstract

A total of 764 snake bite incidences has been recorded, of which 495 are males and 270 are females. Of the victim 168 dies (22%) and 596 (78%) survived. The incidence is higher at the age range between 20 and 30 (30%). Only 7” of the total cases were hospitalized and 90% were sent to the traditional doctors. The incidence was high 960%) in between July and October.
