Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is a major problem globally. It is associated with lost work productivity, disability and considerable health care costs. Estimates of treatment costs alone, for chronic LBP (defined as patients who had LBP lasting 180 days or more), were £2.8 billion per annum in the United Kingdom.
