The global consumption of fake news is proliferating uncontrollably and the aim of this chapter is to examine and draw conclusions that understand these motives through an artistic lens. The purpose of the chapter being to explore the development of deception as a method in art practice to critique the deceptions of misinformation in our mainstream media outlets. The phenomenon of un-factual truths is symptomatic of the disease of free-markets and capita which in turn design our digital worlds.
