Growth and micromorphology of as-grown and etched bis(thiourea) cadmium chloride (BTCC) single crystals

Abstract

Growth aspects of bis(thiourea) cadmium chloride single crystals from aqueous solution by low temperature solution growth are discussed. The crystals were grown for different pH values. The grown crystals were observed under an optical microscope to study their surface features. Thermal, dielectric, microhardness and etching studies have been carried out on the grown crystals.
