Abstract

Homonuclear spin-spin coupling, ₂J(₁₃CFe₁₃C), has been observed in the nitroprusside ion, [Fe(CN)₅NO]^2-, and the coupling ₂J(¹⁵NFe¹⁵N) has been observed in the Roussin anions [Fe₄S₃(NO)₇]^- and [Fe₄Se₃(NO)₇]^-: the ¹⁵N NMR spectrum of [Fe₄Se₃(¹⁵NO)₇]^- provides a definitive proof of the structure for this anion.
