Abstract
The MA Fine Art and Education was the foundation of the BxNU partnership between BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and Northumbria University. Evidence demonstrates the programme has dynamic impact by inspiring and innovating practice; fourteen years on, the legacy has reached thousands of young people.
Despite this powerful story, numbers dwindle and teachers are increasingly lacking in confidence and capacity. We recognise it is time to change the way we approach the offer.
This presentation explores how we continue to advocate criticality, collaboration and dialogue in order to support, challenge and develop holistic, outward facing approaches towards engaged, creative pedagogy.
