Abstract

Viral proposes to deal with visual didactics, graphic design as revealing of states. By virality, we will also think of the propagation of infox and fake news which has been propagated by different means: rhetoric in the first place, but also by the use of biased diagrams or open to interpretation.

One of the major challenges of the signature exhibition of the Biennale will therefore be to provide the keys to understanding and reading to better apprehend information and thus be able to judge its relevance and its veracity. By virality also we will deal with alternative distribution channels, such as Wikipedia and Wikileaks, but also with the way in which graphic designers bring situations (espionage, mass surveillance) to our eyes, or signs and means of action that have emerged. intolerable situations linked to violence against women and minorities.

As the title suggests, we will continue our investigations into new technologies, alternative distribution channels, and new territories for graphic design.
