iPads, Mobiles and New Music in Schools

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

For this conference I will be discussing a series of workshops devised for the British Council and the French Ministry of National Education’s cross-cultural project, 'Science in Schools'. While the workshops aimed to give students a basic understanding in computer science, they also demonstrated how we interact with smartphones and mobile applications through music-based activities. This discussion will examine how the use of iPads, mobile devices and sound apps were able to bring the concept of new music to school learners.
