Abstract
Robert's Role: Creative Collaborator/ Designer.; Background: Catharina Eden is an established brand creating garments which currently retail in stores and online at ASOS.com. Catharina Eden wanted to build a couture and conceptual range of designs for commission aiming an interplay between conceptual meaning and fashion design. The Jewelled Spine collection in design, colour and imagery created a story of an innocent young girl who begins to grow into the adult world around her. Rob Burton worked in partnership with Catharina Eden as consultant with particular focus on branding concept and innovative conceptual decorative sensibilities and experimental print techniques for the collection.; Outcomes: The collection was launched to press and buyers at a major event in London during the summer of 2010. The collection through international networking has subsequently been shown in Sweden and New York.
