Abstract
This report was produced on behalf of Northumberland County Council and Museums and Archives Northumberland By Dr. Judy ThomasJanuary 2015 The project is partially funded by Bridge North East.The report evaluates the first Northumberland Creative Employment Programme, established through a Northumberland consortium, Museums and Archives Northumberland (Woodhorn), Queens Hall Hexham, Théâtre Sans Frontières, Alnwick Playhouse, The Maltings, Berwick and The Phoenix Theatre, Blyth. The programme aimed to address needs of those hardest to reach (those falling within the NEET category). This cross-sector partnership worked with Gateshead College to deliver two apprenticeships at The Maltings and The Phoenix Theatre. Four internship placement opportunities took place at Woodhorn, Queens Hall, Théâtre Sans Frontières and Alnwick Playhouse. The report reflects upon activity and makes a series of recommendations for Bridge North East and Northumberland County Council.
