Research output: Contribution to journalBook/Film/Article reviewpeer-review

Abstract

Offering a valuable discussion of war photography both current and future, this one-day symposium was convened by photography network Redeye as part of Imperial War Museum North’s ‘Conflict and Camera’ season held alongside the Don McCullin exhibition ‘Shaped by War’. Chaired by Redeye’s director Paul Herrmann, the emphasis was on presentations by practitioners Sean Sutton, from Mines Advisory Group (MAG), and Simon Norfolk, whose work has been shown in numerous galleries and museums internationally. David Campbell, Professor of Cultural and Political Geography at Durham University, and Jon Levy, founder of photojournalism organisation Foto8, contributed further comments and debate.
