Abstract

Art direction of a health related social project. As research lead full art direction of the project Orbit & Yourbit aimed at young children requiring specialised care that requires continuous support from the health service, schools and their extended family. doing prescribed exercises, wearing special equipment, communicating their feelings and needs more effectively in a clinical environment. Full liaison with Dr Stuart Marsden CEng MIMechE, Clinical Scientist, Clinical Measurement Section, Medical Physics Department and with Mr Andrew Owens MD FRCS(CTh), Director of R&D and Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The project produced: - A reward-led system - Characters and their names - Orbit & Yourbit - The wristband and app -T he logo - Video - Social platform The project was awarded Double Bronze by the Creative Conscience Awards in 2015.
