Abstract

This book chapter deals with the broad topic of psychopathy namely its aetiology (i.e., genetics and environmental factors), its general features and assessments instruments (e.g., PCL-R), and the typology of psychopathy. The chapter further addresses a variety of characteristics of psychopathic homicide offenders and concludes with some recommendations on handling interviews, and treatment of psychopaths.
