Abstract

The electrical conduction properties of ZincPhthalocyanine (ZnPc) thin films, sandwiched between Aluminium electrodes (metal–semiconductor–metal) were investigated at the temperature range 303–483 K. At the low-voltage region the current conduction in the device is Ohmic type. The charge transport phenomenon appears to be space charge limited current (SCLC) at the higher-voltage regions, in the presence of a discrete trapping level. Various electrical parameters were determined from the I–V and C–V analysis. The carrier mobility increases with increasing temperature whereas the density of trapped holes decreases with increasing temperature. The barrier height has also decreases with increase in temperature.
